CMTCA is updating our national accreditation standards to ensure they reflect the changing landscape of massage therapy education and practice. CMTCA has recently conducted a review of each criterion in the Accreditation Standards. This process was guided by an expert Standards Review Committee and included input from education programs, regulatory bodies, surveyors, Board members and staff. After over a year of consultation and analysis, our revised standards will be released in early March!
Education programs and surveyors will have many opportunities to learn about the changes in the months that follow. CMTCA will provide extensive support to education programs and surveyors to ensure a smooth transition to the new standards: from written resources, to webinars, to consultations with Accreditation Specialists.
Accreditation reviews scheduled in Fall 2024 will use the revised standards criterion.
